The Bright Foundation funds college scholarships to support recipients in graduating on-time, debt-free, prepared to launch their careers and give back. Founded in 1957 by the late Lois and H. Dale Bright, the Bright Foundation supported many causes in the Des Moines metro and state of Iowa over the years. The first Bright Scholars program began in 2012 and continues today, supporting Iowa high school graduates attending the state’s public universities. “We worked hard, saved carefully, invested wisely, and gave back when we could.
