Bourne Crisp is designed & manufactured right here in Melbourne. “Bourne” being a homage to Melbourne & “Crisp” referring to the feel of newly minted fabrics. Our brand is based on & inspired by our stories - the people, places & ideas which shape the city we live in. We are extremely passionate about the local Melbourne creative community & are fortunate to have access to a rich & diverse group of amazing craftspeople. We collaborate with local Melbourne craftspeople whenever possible to help bring Bourne Crisp to life. This includes using local businesses for swing tags, labels, packaging, fabric, garment trims, writers, artists, photographers - the list goes on. When it comes to our garments, there is no cutting corners - there are countless alterations, revisions & tweaks made on every piece to ensure it is perfect. Our keen attention to detail during every part of the creation process ensures that our garments are made to last. We aim to challenge the current climate of fast & disposable fashion, favouring the proper tailoring & fit of quality garments over quick & cheap creations made to end up in the donation bin at the end of the season. We value the skills & craftsmanship required to make clothing properly & aim to ensure that we don’t loose these valuable skills. This is why all of our garments are made right here in Melbourne.
