Chef Guto Souza is an internationally-renowned chef of Brazilian origin, with over three decades of experience. In 2014, he met Praveesh Govindan, a former Mechanical Engineer with Coke in the US, whose extensive work trips to Brazil fueled the idea of bringing its incredible cuisine to India. Together, Chef Guto and Praveesh decided to launch Boteco, India’s first authentic Brazilian restaurant in 2016. An off-shoot brand of Boteco is Guto’s Pão de Queijo. This traditional, naturally gluten-free Brazilian cheese bread is made with tapioca flour and has such a fan-following that Boteco started a production unit in Holland which now supplies across Europe. It was only fitting, therefore, that the bread brand be named after the exuberant and full of joie de vivre - Chef Guto Souza. With “freezer to oven” convenience, the authentic recipe by Chef Guto Souza is made with Dutch Gouda cheese and imported Brazilian tapioca flour. Just 20 minutes in the oven creates delicious Guto’s Pão de Queijos – crispy outside, fluffy inside. Our manufacturing set up is located near Amsterdam, Netherlands. We developed a “vegan” variety of Guto’s Pão de Queijo in collaboration with InnoFood Holland which was launched in the Dutch market recently. Guto’s is the first company in Europe to start mass production of the famous Brazilian cheese breads in frozen packaged format.
