Overview

BioGeo is an ecological and geospatial research and services consultancy and a social enterprise for biodiversity conservation. We specialise in the application of GIS, remote sensing, and spatial and statistical analysis, primarily for biodiversity conservation and the assessment of environmental impact and risk, but also offer a whole range of GIS and mapping services to customers across all industries and sectors. What’s more, with your help a proportion of our consulting fee goes directly into supporting wildlife conservation charities and projects across Queensland, Australia, and the world. Where the money goes is up to you! We also volunteer our time and expertise to wildlife conservation projects across the country. Please check out our website to find out more. Additionally, we provide a Postgraduate Support Service for environmental research candidates with GIS, spatial and statistical analysis, and graphical presentation. And when possible, we incorporate open-source software in order to supply the necessary information for the candidate to replicate the products of our support and learn the process themselves. While we normally charge for this service, we may support projects that meet our core aims absolutely free. Working in partnership with our clients, universities, and wildlife conservation charities and NGOs, our aims are to: • demonstrate the value of biological conservation and research; • inspire community participation in native wildlife and habitat conservation; • engage in biological conservation projects that demonstrate clear and tangible results; • support merited bio-conservation projects and campaigns across Australia and the world; and • assist initiatives to drive sustainable business practices
