Bahá’í International Community Brussels Office

International Affairs

Overview

The Baha'i International Community (BIC) represents the worldwide Baha'i community, whose members come from every national, ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic background, representing a cross-section of humanity. Active in various global fora, the BIC maintains United Nations offices in New York and Geneva since 1948, as well as more recent regional offices in Addis Ababa, Brussels, and Jakarta. Since 2011, the Brussels Office of the BIC has been operating at the European level and engaging with institutions and agencies of the EU, the Council of Europe and the Organization for Security and Co-operation. The work of our Office is built on the efforts of Bahá’í communities — present around the world and in every European country — to contribute to the advancement of their neighbourhoods, nations and the global community. The Brussels BIC Office seeks to engage with other European actors in a manner that fosters a culture of mutual learning and collaboration, and that generates insights and understanding to meet the needs of the region and of humanity as a whole.
