Overview

The Bay Area Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau (BAHCVB) is a non-profit destination marketing organization comprised of three partner cities: Kemah, League City, Nassau Bay and Seabrook, TX. Kemah, TX "Kemah" is an Indian word meaning "wind in my face". Come "Breeze into Kemah" a slogan that accurately desccribes the recreational environment. The city is aptly named because there is a near constant breeze from Galveston Bay. Kemah's name has also been long associated with water and having fun. Today, that is even more true with the spectacular Kemah Boardwalk and Kemah Lighthouse District with shops of every description, fine restaurants and marinas offering just about any kind of water-related activity you can imagine. Kemah is the place to take a break. Nassau Bay, TX The city was established to accommodate Johnson Space Center and provide a community for astronauts, space professionals, and their families. Today, more than 60 Nassau Bay residents have visited space, and a few have walked the moon. In 2005, the city dedicated a serpentine wall of black granite featuring the flags of the nations participating in the International Space Station. The striking monument is on NASA Parkway in the median between NASA and the city. Located across the street from Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston, Nassau Bay has it all: space and science adventure, fun, sun and water. Seabrook, TX The City of Seabrook is the "home base" for many of the astronauts, scientists and other professionals who work at Johnson Space Center. Enjoy the small town waterfront atmosphere, just minutes from the bustle of Houston, the relaxing waters of Galveston Bay and the Kemah Boardwalk. This thriving community offers many amenities for business, living and recreation including 17 parks and nationally renowned hiking and birding trails.
