Basingstoke Voluntary Action (BVA) is a charity organisation that has been providing support and leadership to the voluntary sector and local community of Basingstoke and Deane since 1965. We are recipients of the Mayor's Award to Business 2018 in recognition of our work for the community in 2017-2018. Support and development We give free professional advice about setting up and running voluntary organisations e.g. governance, leadership, finance, funding, staffing, policies and procedures as well as working with the Charity Commission and funding agencies. Funding We support voluntary organisations to find funding opportunities, walk you through the funding process and offer a review of applications before submission. We hold a monthly drop in clinic for groups needing support and advice with funding. Visit https://www.bvaction.org.uk DBS We offer DBS checks for the voluntary sector. Affordable meeting rooms Any organisation in the area can hire meeting and interview rooms at The Orchard, as well as a self-contained conference suite at affordable prices.
