As a long standing supporter of the arts and culture in Jordan, Bank al Etihad established Bank al Etihad Foundation in 2022 with the aim of promoting the performing arts in Jordan and the Arab world. The Foundation is centered around the Amman Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA), which promotes education and training in Music, and Drama. It is an institute for everyone, catering to the specific needs of its students: from aspiring professionals to keen amateurs. AIPA aims to shape the future of the performing arts in Jordan. Wanting to provide Amman with a series of public performances, the Foundation also launched the Amman Chamber Orchestra (ACO). To reflect the mission of the Foundation, ACO concerts combine Western and Middle Eastern classical music. Alongside the main concert season, orchestra members regularly engage with the wider community in Jordan through outreach and educational work.
