Baco Properties is a privately held real estate management and investment company founded in 1967 and headquartered in San Francisco. Property types under management include self-storage facilities, commercial and retail holdings, as well as single-family homes, with a particularly strong presence in Northern and Southern California and in the Washington DC metro area. The Baco Properties portfolio includes over 38,000 self-storage units comprising over 4 million sf of rentable self-storage space, operating under the Security Public Storage brand. Baco’s founders formed a partnership in 1967 and built a portfolio of properties and a management platform that continues to flourish to this day. Being a family owned and operated business, we are committed to operating according to the highest ethical and moral standards, which to us means treating our employees, customers, contractors, vendors and all stakeholders with respect, dignity and appreciation for their contribution to the collective success of the Company. We believe in maintaining a workplace culture that allows every employee to feel comfortable, welcome and truly part of the team. While maintaining state-of-the-art technology and exceptional operating processes and systems, we understand that Baco is only as successful as its employees, and we strive to act accordingly every single day. Baco is committed to multi-generational capital appreciation—we measure our success over the course of decades, and take our decisions and set our strategic course with that timeframe in mind. This long-range perspective has enabled Baco to navigate and manage through multiple recessions and negative business cycles, while maintaining its stellar track record of financial performance and relationship building.
