Welcome to Bårdshaug Herregård – a historic manor house and modern hotel ‘right at the heart of Norway’! Bårdshaug’s unique history and traditions of hospitality date all the way back to the early 20th century when it was the residence of the influential entrepreneur Christian Thams. Today’s Bårdshaug consists of the manor house, several charming buildings from Thams’ time and a newer full-service hotel building. Stay the night in one of our six guestrooms in the manor house, and feel the tranquil atmosphere from former times, or enjoy todays comfort in a modern guestroom in the main building. Our restaurant offers a menu that features homemade, seasonal food using fresh, local produce. During the summer we offer informal talks on local history and guided tours of our historic manor house.
