Overview

Avidity Lighting was founded by two friends, James & Marcus. Outside of our main jobs as commercial airline pilots, we actively follow our passion in the lighting and live entertainment industry. When we were first starting to learn the art of lighting design and operation, we purchased between us what we believe is one of the best lighting control consoles on the market – the MA Lighting dot2 XL-F Console. In order to help cover the cost of the console, we decided to found a company through which we could hire the board to like-minded people at affordable rates. Since then, we have grown our services to provide ad-hoc lighting production and venue management. The word Avidity means ‘a keen interest or enthusiasm’ and was chosen specifically when we founded the company as this reflects our core ethos. Everything we do is motivated by our passion for lighting and the excitement that working within the industry brings.
