AVES is an independent STM (Scientific, Technical, and Medical) publisher founded to provide publication services and products within the scope of international scientific publication standards. The company is based in İstanbul, Turkey. AVES’s basic mission is to publish original journals within the scope of internationally accepted guides and standards and to contribute to the scientific literature. AVES currently provides professional publication services to around 70 scholarly journals which are owned by specialists’ societies, and universities. AVES journals are open-access publications. They are owned and financially supported by non-profit organizations. Some journals may request an Article Processing Charge from the authors to cover their expenses. Policies and practices on this subject are published on the web pages of the journals. Guides and recommendations of international organizations such as the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) are taken into consideration in the publication processes of AVES journals. The content's scientific quality of AVES journals' are the responsibility of each journal's Editor in Chief and the Editorial Board.
