The Mental Health & Autism Insurance Project is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to help families with children with mental health and autistic spectrum disorders obtain funding for interventions and treatment from their private health insurance. We offer workshops, speaking engagements, advice, direct representation and consultation to families and professionals needing help in this area. We advocate with regulatory agencies, legislators, and health plans/insurance companies on behalf of families. We have recently expanded to assist those with other mental health and developmental challenges secure insurance funding for treatments. We provide assistance to families seeking residential treatment for loved ones through insurance. We offer pre-authorization, utilization review and billing services for residential programs including Wilderness.
