Overview

The Australian Psychedelic Society (APS) are a grassroots community-based organisation that firmly believe in the decriminalisation and safe use of psychedelics. A large body of our work involves advocacy and changing narratives surrounding psychedelics. This includes raising awareness and educating our community, leaders, physicians (and everyone in between) on the potential health benefits, risks and outcomes when using these medicines, regardless of whether it be recreational use, for mental health, physical health, spiritual development, consciousness exploration or other reasons. We hope that in creating communities across Australia we can better advocate for the decriminalisation of psychedelics and break stigmas associated with their use. The APS are a not-for-profit organisation and registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). The APS are currently working towards deductible gift recipient (DGR) status, which would make donations to the APS tax deductible.
