Overview

The Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA) was formed in June 1981 as the peak national body representing private hospital interests in Australia. Since being established, the APHA has unified the private hospital sector and champions the cause of private hospitals in delivering the best in hospital care for patients. The APHA leadership and staff lobby and advocate on behalf of Australia’s private hospitals to ensure that private healthcare continues to be dynamic in meeting the needs of the Australian community. The APHA promotes the wide range of hospital services provided by its members, including medical, surgical, psychiatric and rehabilitation facilities. Membership of the APHA is voluntary and its members have the utmost commitment to quality services, ethical conduct and professional health care standards.
