Overview

The Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) is the professional association of Victorian dentists. We aim to improve the oral health of all Victorians, promote the highest standards of professional dental care and enhance the professional lives of members. We support and advocate on behalf of dentists to build a stronger voice for our profession and to promote the oral health of Victorians. We listen to the concerns of Victorian dentists, monitor the impacts on our profession and focus on the priorities identified by our members. If you are a registered dentist working in Victoria, a Victorian dental student or an ADC candidate, we invite you to join the ADAVB. Our objectives are to promote the: • Improvement of the dental health of the public • Art and science of dentistry • Highest standards of professional dental care Membership services include: • Advice on practice management and consulting services • Advocacy and representation • Benevolent Fund for dentists in need • Career development and leadership opportunities • Code of ethics • Community relations and dispute assistance • Continuing professional development program • Oral health promotion and campaigns • Dental news and updates • Group and networking opportunities • HR advice through the ADA's HR advisory service • Indemnity insurance (Guild) - discounted for members and free for students/new graduates • Member assistance program (LifeWorks) providing confidential support for dentists • Essential publications and guidelines • Recent graduate support and career development • Sports and social functions • Superannuation, i.e. Professional Provident Fund The ADAVB Inc also the home of the eviDent Dental Practice Based Research Network.
