Aufwind is the German word for the updraft experienced by birds and gliders, either based on adiabatic rise of warm air in a thermal, or through wind blowing against a ridge. Aufwind sees itself as Partner of aircraft operators and will be able to help out with its experience in aircraft operations and owner-controlled maintenance. Aufwind operates and maintains aircraft for special missions and will partake in the development of further applications of general aviation for environmental protection.
