Atlas Oranto Petroleum

Overview

Atlas Petroleum International and Oranto Petroleum represent Africa's largest privately-held, Africa-focused exploration and production group by acreage. Our extensive footprint across the African continent includes 21 Oil and Gas licenses, including producing assets in Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea and numerous Atlas / Oranto operated blocks. Operating as sister companies in the West African region since 1991, Atlas and Oranto now operate in 11 countries throughout Africa, with regional offices and representatives in all of our core investment locations. Our technical base is strategically located in Lagos, Nigeria and our corporate headquarters is in Abuja, giving us direct access to African policy-makers in this regional political hub. The strong indigenous character of our group allows us to have our finger on the pulse of our host nations, offering unique insight into the challenges and opportunities shaping hydrocarbon development on the ground. Accordingly, the Atlas / Oranto Group represents an optimal partner to foreign entities looking to enter sub-Saharan markets and marry local knowledge with technical and financial expertise. Our deep roots in the countries where we work also ensure that the benefits of resource extraction extend to local communities. Comprising a management team of African petroleum industry specialists with a wealth of expertise and career-long international exposure, the Atlas / Oranto Group is one of the only large-scale, indigenous E&P firms made in Africa and operating across African borders.
