During my tenure as a VFX supervisor (show side, vendor side and in-house), I noticed a problem; Overseas vendors will say “yes” and promise the world, but rarely did any of them live up to their promises. It seemed common in our experience that once you found a great vendor who did what they said they could do and deliver on time they would become too busy to take on work, and you would have to start over again. Putting the project into jeopardy that you could ill afford.
