I work with small to medium size organisations that are going through change and are determined to capitalise on the empowering collective intelligence in their teams. For example, over a 4-year period, I worked with Mtembu Tissue Converting, a joint venture that grew into the largest Black-owned Paper Mill and Tissue Converting company in South Africa. ASD Consultancy's approach was unique in that we used “Indlela Engcono” – ‘A Better Way’ – which meant that everyone took ownership for everything that happened in their workspace. Is this something you have experienced? ____________________________________________________________________________________ ASD CONSULTANCY was created in 1996, when appointed by a South African national manufacturing company to develop material for a unique workplace learning programme. This company’s vision, to blend Adult Basic Education (ABET) with technical training was a national first: it enhanced the education of over 400 loom and creel operators and enabled them to build towards a workplace qualification with the Plastic Industrial Training Board. Once ASD CONSULTANCY began rolling out the training and assessment programme on site, the demand for Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects grew. Over time, several management, leadership and problem-solving workshops and strategic planning initiatives were developed and rolled out by ASD CONSULTANCY in various industries. Project management and facilitation of the change management processes are core to the initiatives developed and implemented by ASD CONSULTANCY.
