AS JOIAS DA RAINHA (The Jewels of the Queen) is an original, contemporary brand of jewelery created by Thania Regina Gomide Lino. Created in 2010, it is the realization of the owner’s childhood dream: to become a jeweler. “I enjoy bringing life and movement to the pieces, creating vibrant colors and different effects in copper; carving silver and gold on several dimensions as they were rough stones; texturizing metals as if they were wood. It’s the way I found to bring the materials to life, imprinting natural elements, fabricating and sculpting each piece by hand, in an alchemy of beauty and joy. My inspiration comes from the uniqueness of raw nature. I believe that each element brings with it what it wants to be, my duty is simply to reveal its mystery, bringing up to the surface the inner beauty of each one of them. In the jewelry world, I discovered the pleasure of creating, drawing and making my own pieces. However I wanted more. I wanted to go beyond the design. I wanted to transform, materialize. Making every stone and every little grain of metal become a beautiful jewel full of meaning and love so that they could fulfill their mission and tell their own stories. This is how I give form to dreams, by creating and producing remarkable pieces with great character, personality and beauty. After all, through them I’m sharing pieces of my dreams around the world.”
