Overview

We are a community based, advanced manufacturing center that provides access to advanced CNC and robotic machinery for small business owners, artists and more. All design software is included with workstations, as well as all hand and power tools. Artisan Workspace was started to solve a problem the founder was having when attempting to start a manufacturing business with little more than savings, over a decade of experience, and an idea. Well, machinery and tools are very expensive, require an industrial facility with heavy power, as well as all of the secondary items, such as a crane, air compressor, forklift etc. So, the only option was to turn to waterjet job shops, who often would not even accept the work due to the complicated nature of the products, thus running into multiple roadblocks. We are currently in Phase One of operations, which is a small workshop in a shared manufacturing facility, with all power tools, welding, workbenches, and dust filtration. Phase Two is the addition of a 5-axis waterjet, gantry crane, air compressor/dryer, closed loop water recycling system, larger workspace, individual workstations with central dust filtration. Phase Three is the addition of a 7-axis robot milling machine, industrial 3D printer, Artec 3D scanner, separate stone, wood, and metal working areas, and the addition of a sandblasting room. The entire shop is run by a very experienced fabrication manager, who does all machine programming, drawing revisions, and machine operations. Courses are available in the operation of CNC machinery. In addition, we also offer practical, hands-on courses in CAD/design software, manufacturing, architecture, construction. Some online options are available.
