Overview

Every day you are expected to deliver more with the same number of people or even less. It’s just not possible. But what if you could create greater levels of teamwork and collaboration? What if the only thing preventing you was a widespread but little understood problem called self-deception. What is Self-Deception? As human beings, we’re good at justifying ourselves, especially when we’re in the wrong. In the workplace this results in individuals finding all sorts of reasons why NOT to do something, rather than simply doing what’s expected of them. Intuitively, we all know the right thing to do by our co-workers, boss or customers but our ‘mental justifying’ resists it. This is called self-deception. Self-deception affects everyone. Here are a few ways self-deception manifests itself: • People withholding key information in meetings so they have the advantage • Teams competing with each other rather than focusing on common aims • Senior leaders not collaborating, resulting in conflicting objectives • Employees who resist change and find a myriad of excuses Training and team building only tackles the symptoms Well-intentioned as most training is, the problems of dysfunctional teams, poor communication, blame and resistance to change are usually only a symptom. We must get to the deep-rooted cause of the problem: self-deception. Only when this is dealt with will you see these behaviours change. Remove self-deception and improve performance. Imagine if your staff changed their attitude and started doing what was right by their colleagues. Imagine how much more would get done. This workshop will identify self-deception and show your leaders how to develop unprecedented levels of accountability, collaboration and commitment. It can get results immediately, transform the way you operate and make productivity soar, whether you’re in charge of 10 or 10000 employees.
