Aqua Safe Group is the result of one person, Haji Mohammad Aslam, starting his own personal business of sewing machines and spare parts, in 1960 with a very modest capital of a few thousand Rupees. Slowly the business grew and Rahat Sewing Machine Company became one of Pakistan's largest importer and wholesaler of imported sewing machine parts. Along the way property development business, one hotel, water filter business and motorcycle parts business were added.
