Overview

The Aqua Renegades are a team of 9 hardworking college students interning at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) for the summer of 2018. Through the 10 week internship program we are working to create our first Augmented Reality (AR) application, AquaSafe. AquaSafe is compatible with both IOS and Android devices. The application will be utilized through the Epson Moverio bt-300 AR glasses. Our objective through AquaSafe is to provide visual and interactive training in order to save both the time and cost of training. Our product will provide safety training and testing to prove a utility technician’s knowledge in-order to be successful and safe while in the field. Time and cost can be saved through eliminating time spent in a classroom environment by 50%, and allowing workers to be trained in a more intellectually stimulating way. With AquaSafe we hope to reduce accidents and fatalities in the field. With AquaSafe, we can save lives.
