ANIMAL PROTECTION FOUNDATION’s aim and purpose includes rescue and treatment of the un-owned stray animals who become ill or injured; fostering and providing medical care to injured animals; aiding the abandoned pets find a comfortable and adoring home, raising awareness to our cause and also helping stray animals with severe health issues like cancer tumours, distemper, parvo and even more complicated accident cases. The process normally includes taking of blood samples, X-rays, etc. after which the surgery is performed after making sure that all the parameters of it are stable. Animal Protection Foundation has organized various feeding drives during lockdown when the street animals were starving. During lockdown, volunteers were actively involved in feeding stray animals daily in various locations in Jalandhar. Also, various feed drives were organized to feed starving monkeys, cows, bulls, etc. on the way to Mata Chintpurni on weekly basis. It has also organized various awareness campaigns to ban the use of china door to save birds which get entangled in these doors and succumb to death. APF has organized one of the largest camps of its kind in which animals were treated free of cost, vaccinated, provided with free medications and free dog food.
