Anatomy Trains

Overview

Anatomy Trains provides in class and online education worldwide for all types of manual therapists and movement teachers. Anatomy Trains uses 4-D myofascial dynamics to map and resolve complex postural and functional patterns. The Anatomy Trains® concept, devised by Thomas Myers, provides useful language describing the ‘anatomy of connection’ in which muscles are functionally linked in series through the unity of the fascial network that runs throughout the body; muscles work as an integrated system rather than as individual units. The 'Anatomy Trains' myofascial meridians provide a revolutionary map for analyzing whole-body soft-tissue patterns that leads to positive new strategies for unwinding these patterns via manipulation and movement-oriented work. KMI (Kinesis Myofascial Integration) is our most sophisticated application of Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains myofascial meridians to manual therapy and movement education. KMI is not only satisfying to your clients in terms changes you can make in their body posture and movement, it is also satisfying to you as a practitioner – KMI stimulates you intellectually, emotionally, and in the acquisition of technical skills for a career long love affair with your work. The KMI protocol is a series of 12 deep bodywork sessions that work progressively through the entire body to promote balance, ease, and movement coordination – as well as a vivid and accurate self-image through kinesethetic perception. We at KMI are equally dedicated to the art, science, and practical application of structural bodywork. KMI trains you in a wide vocabulary of touch and movement skills. KMI has emerged as a premier training in Structural Integration. Hundreds of practitioners across the Americas and Europe and Australia have been trained in KMI since the late ’90’s, with financially successful and spiritually satisfying practices.
