The American Moslem Society (AMS) is a non profit, independent organization which was established in the year of 1938 making it amongst the first Islamic organization in the United States and the first in Michigan. The AMS provides many services such as, the five daily Muslim prayers, a weekly Friday congregational prayer and lecture, two yearly Eid prayers for the community, funeral services, and Islamic marriage contracts. It is constantly growing and expanding for the betterment of its community.
