Overview

Currently, the Mexican Association of Protected Horticulture (AMHPAC), represents almost 300 grower members who work under protection schemes in their crops, agglomerating 9,351 hectares of protected horticulture distributed in 24 states of the Mexican Republic. The surface of our membership has 4,765 hectares of shade house, 4,473 hectares of greenhouse and 113 hectares of macro tunnel. It is estimated that the production of the AMHPAC membership exceeds 1,200,000 tons of vegetables per year, which are concentrated in 3 main commodities with their different varieties: -Tomato with 66% -Bell pepper with 18% -Cucumber with 15% -Peppers, Eggplant and others with 1% Production destination: -United States of America 77% -Canada 5% -Domestic market (Mexico) 18% The commercial value of the production of our members exceeds 1,200,000 USD per year in exports. At the same time, the membership of AMHPAC generates around 90,000 jobs nationwide, of which 37,000 are reported as permanent jobs and 50,000 as temporary jobs, positioning itself as a key part for the welfare of the industry nationwide We have suppliers companies of goods and services of the agricultural sector, who are part of AMHPAC under the scheme of annual Sponsors.
