Overview
American Family Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides a continuum of housing and an array of services to support homeless and low-income families and adults to secure a stable home, to be an active part of their community, and to achieve a fulfilling life. American Family Housing is a Community Housing Development Organization that develops affordable housing for the community it serves. At all times, a minimum of one-third of the Board of Directors consists of representatives of the low-income community. AFH handles the OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE of AFH’s rental properties, as well as properties owned by our partners. Our REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT oversees our construction and acquisition pipeline. Our PROGRAM SERVICES support our tenants and clients with a focus on evidence-based practices, often in AFH housing. Our FUNDRAISING AND ADMINISTRATION provides the lead at AFH, extending our reach to stakeholders and financial resources. These interconnected lines of business dynamically support each other, driving growth and revenue diversification. Combined, AFH’s interdisciplinary MISSION EXPERTISE generates cost-effective, practical solutions for vulnerable low-income households who otherwise might not secure or maintain a home.
