With the intention of upgrading the tourism industry through an academic partnership, the Alumni ATHEM of University of Colombo is formed in 2015 under the guidance of Prof (Dr) D.A.C Silva, the Course Coordinator of Tourism Study Programmes at the UOC and the panel of lecturers in the tourism programmes, thus benefitting the students, the university and tourism industry as well. The uniqueness in the Association members was, each and every member is not just a past student of the tourism programmes conducted at the university but also the cream of travel & tourism industry in the country.
