"I have a vision to democratize education and mentor students to empower themselves and others. I have been working on it for a few years now through different hats that I wear; educator, computer scientist, entrepreneur and most importantly, mentor. I feel that I have been very lucky to have found things where my passion, career, vision and degree merge, through which I have been able to build different projects like Teaching Circle, AltAcademy, and more. Last year has been tough for everyone and I wasn’t able to mentor my students as much as I normally would in and out of class. But ever since classes on campus started, I have been working with students on different projects and tools which will help them and others grow. That’s what I really love to do; teach young adults to hustle, push forward, be the best version of themselves, and pull others up. The first of many more things to come is ALTx, which I have founded with some of the most brilliant students I have ever worked with. It sparked from my vision and common goals through which we set out to create an online platform where students who are experts in a subject, topic, or skill would teach others for free and start a cycle of empowering and helping their peers. We are aiming for it to be much bigger and will add more things to it but nothing can happen without support. A tree (or anything) when shown love and affection grows fast and strong, I have learned in the past year that by pushing and cheering for each other we all become better and stronger.
