Altair Chimica is part of Esseco Industrial, a division of the family-owned Italian group Esseco Group, which has supplied products and services to Chemistry and to the world of Oenology for over a century. Altair Chimica is a major player in the production and commercialization of inorganic potassium derivatives, and in 2005 was the first European producer of potassium hydroxide (KOH) to adopt membrane cell technology to remove mercury from products, creating one of the world's most advanced plants for the production of very high purity inorganic potassium derivatives.
