Overview
HISTORY Assisted Living Southwest Ontario began in 1938 with the opening of a workshop for both adults and children with disabilities. Through the years there have been changes in our community and in society but through it all A.L.S.O. has maintained its spirit and determination to provide the best possible services throughout Windsor and Essex County. MISSION STATEMENT To provide adults with physical disabilities with services that ensure they are able to live, work and play in the community with choice, opportunities, and the confidence of full citizenship. VISION STATEMENT Working collaboratively with adults with physical disabilities, care givers, staff, funding bodies, volunteers and community partners we: - Show leadership in service provision. - Engage and retain high quality staff to provide support. - Promote people with physical disabilities accepting leadership roles in the organization and in the community. - Envision a day when people with physical disabilities fully participate in all aspects of community life as the norm and not the exception.
