Overview

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is a 501(c)7 non-profit organization. Founded in the year 1906, it is the nation’s first and oldest intercollegiate Greek-letter organization established for African American college men. The fraternity has over 700 chapters that span all across the United States, the Bahamas, Germany, London, South Africa and South Korea. Mission Statement is Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities. The Upsilon Chi chapter was chartered February 17, 2017 at Pepperdine University. The chapter carries out the mission and ideas of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through completing programs and hosting events that connect with and better the community. The chapter fosters leadership skills in its members through connecting and improving its communities at Pepperdine, in Malibu and in areas of the downtrodden.
