SupportingFarmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) FPOs can be constituted by the Primary Producers like Farmers (Land Holders as well as Landless), Artisans, Milk Producers, Honey Cultivators, Silk Cultivators etc. The FPOs have to be registered as a Private Company under the Companies Act with minimum 10 people as its members. There are around 5000 FPOs legally established in India, but not many of them are currently operational. Many of these FPOs failed due to lack of technical knowledge about rules and regulations and overall unavailability of facilitators. After realizing the need of handholding and facilitation, Indian Government, in 2020 declared its intention to establish 10000 FPOs throughout the country with handholding support of CBBOs. Krushi Vikas Va Gramin Prashikshan Sanstha (Krushi Vikas) is one of the prominent organizations in central India which is currently working with NABARD, SFAC as well as NAFED for establishment of around 30 FPOs n central India as well as Gujarat. It is the only single organization which is working with all these three institutes. The experience and acquired knowledge of such organizations can be so crucial for other organizations and individuals. With this intention, we have created this platform - ALLABOUTFPO whereby we intend to provide 360-degree support with regard to capacity building as well as consultancy. We have diligently designed modules (in Hindi, English & Marathi) on all aspects of FPO management.
