Overview

Alert Fund for Youth is an independent fund which supports progressive projects for and by young people. Young people are often not taken serious and their opinions often go unheard. In spite of their potential, young people are often not seen as the change agents they are. Alert considers it crucial that young people are heard and listened to. Young people can be the agents of positive change, and Alert believes they need to be supported and encouraged in this. For this reason, Alert supports progressive youth projects from all over the world with (small) subsidies. Through this, Alert tries to contribute to fundamental change in society, reflected in youth projects that focus on human rights, environmental issues, and equity in the distribution of power, knowledge, and capital, Alert is the only fund of its kind in the world that is both for young people and managed by young people.
