Overview

The Australian Living Evidence Collaboration is a world-first initiative that brings together leading experts in evidence synthesis, guideline development and digital technologies to build a next generation system for delivering reliable, accessible, up-to-date evidence in health. We bring together 35-member organisations to undertake continuous evidence surveillance to identify and rapidly synthesise emerging research in order to provide national, evidence-based guidelines. These are ‘living’ guidelines, updated as new research emerges in order to give reliable, up-to-date advice to clinicians providing frontline care for people with these illnesses. Australia is a world-leader in the development of living guidelines through the work of the Australian Living Evidence Consortium and in partnership with Cochrane Australia, the world’s most trusted provider of health evidence.
