In recent years, the level of income and education in Muslim individuals/families has significantly increased by over 34% and 80%, respectively. Their income being too high to obtain social housing, the majority of Netherlands’ Muslims have nowhere to turn to for buying a house because they are unable to participate in interest-based deals due to Islamic restrictions.
