PT. Akasha Wira International Tbk was founded on 6th March 1985 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our reason for being is to bring the world’s best consumer solutions to the world’s masses At the moment PT Akasha Wira International Tbk is engaging in two business segments : a) BEVERAGE: Akasha International currently produces and distributes Nestlé® Pure Life® in Indonesia under the license and supervision of Nestlé Water SA. In October 2011, as an answer to consumers' needs, Akasha International started to produce mineral drinking water using its trademark, Vica Royal. b) BEAUTY CARE: In 2010 Akasha International expanded our business scope to the cosmetics business by acquiring a company engaged in the production of hair care products under the brand Makarizo. In 2012, the Company signed an agreement with Procter & Gamble to import, distribute, and sell Procter & Gamble products in the premium professional segment (the products distributed through hairstylists) under the brands Wella Professional, System Professional, and Clairol Professional. This action is expected to increase the company's overall performance in the future in the middle of tight business competition for cosmetic products in Indonesia. Akasha International believes that People, Systems, Technology, and Capital can craft our vision. As those four we call an operational excellent platform. Each platform attempts to achieve world-class capabilities led by committed and obsessed leaders supported by state-of-the-art yet practical technology and purposed-built processes. Akasha International is investing quite heavily relative to our size today and needs scalable core capability platforms to support future acquisition and growth opportunities. In the past five years, Akasha International has made one acquisition a year and intends to keep this acquisition pace going forward. Currently, the Company employs +2,000 employees across Indonesia.
