In January 2020, AIFC created a new entity ‘AIFC Business Connect’, to address the needs of the international investment community and to drive direct investment into Kazakhstan and the wider CIS region. The purpose is to provide major investor interests and the international commercial community with the fully structured information and close support needed in order to access, and to invest in, the opportunities available in Kazakhstan. As well as working with the current promotional bodies for Kazakhstan, AIFC Business Connect provides a specialist service that leads on sourcing bankable projects, structuring them in a way that can be presented to the international marketplace in a ready-for-business manner, and, using AIFC’s global network and its own business-links and commercial contacts, works with potential and all-ready present interests and institutions, to support engagement in the country and the development of commercial objectives. This is a totally new initiative for the AIFC, and one that has been created to meet the expectations of the international business community.
