(AFI) has been in the forefront of development programs that significantly affect strategic sectors in the Philippine society -- each one with distinct goals and considerable impact. AFI is a non-profit organization that carries flagship programs on child welfare and protection (Bantay Bata 163), environment preservation (Bantay Kalikasan), and disaster response (Sagip Kapamilya). It is the socio-civic arm of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, the Philippine's biggest television network that is committed to be "in the service of the Filipino."
