Abbas has over 20 years of experience with early-stage start-ups as a founder, advisor, and board member with firms across a broad range of industries including logistics, retail, hospitality, FMCG, ecommerce, energy, B2B SaaS, and media. Abbas is considered a thought-leader in early-stage capital raising and go-to-market strategy. He brings a rigorous focus to ensuring start-ups launch effectively, find product/market fit, and inject scale into the business model. After spending nearly a decade working with PWC in the Middle East and South Asia and then on the other side of the desk with government agencies and multinationals in the UAE, Abbas turned his focus to working with early stage founders where he built a consulting practice that helps clients develop go-to-market plans and raise capital. Abbas works actively with founders and investors in the MENAP region. He is also a mentor to several technology startups from his home country of Pakistan and is a regular trainer at the Plan9 Accelerator Program run by the Government of Punjab.
