Anna and Charlotte have lived without producing landfill waste since December 2016. They were sick of seeing rubbish all over Birmingham and London, so decided to try a year of living waste free. The five R’s they stuck to were: Refuse- to buy anything which would be wasteful Reduce- what is bought Repurpose- any item into another Recycle- Using kerbside or a recycle centre Rot- compost what can’t be used or eaten. They now share their story through an educational blog and delivering workshops to schools, communities and businesses.
