Overview

Global leaders in digital interoperability in the battlespace. 2iC’s unique software layer liberates human capability in the battlespace by digitally automating the exchange of mission-critical and actionable information between commanders, operators and equipment across land, sea and air. Designed for the very leanest of digital conditions in the modern battlespace, 2iC’s solution delivers two-way communications in environments with low-power computing, low-bandwidth connections, physical landscape challenges or interrupted communications. It effectively delivers the benefits of IoT (the Internet of Things) when there is no viable internet. The 2iC interoperability software layer sits discreetly on virtually any number of military platforms, systems or devices (trusted and untrusted). In the theatre of operations, the 2iC workflows also offer true battlespace agility as they can be adapted quickly to respond to operational, personnel and equipment changes. Based on open standards and agnostic of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or prime contractor, the 2iC solution allows the rapid integration and automatic exchange of information between new and legacy systems. 2iC’s clients include the UK MoD, US DoD, the Australian Department of Defence, and the New Zealand Defence Force. 2iC is the proud inventor of the Lean Services Architecture, a modular and open architecture standard designed for the battlespace. The UK Ministry of Defence tested and then published the Lean Services Architecture as an open standard.
