The mission of 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health is to improve the health and wellness of Cambria and Somerset counties through community collaboration, research, and education. The 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health was founded as a collaborative research and resource Center focused on population health and disease prevention to benefit the citizens living in Cambria and Somerset Counties. 1889 Foundation made a major gift to the College of Population Health of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia to establish the Center.
