The 10,000 Steps Program aims to increase the day-to-day activity of Australians by encouraging the use of pedometers or activity trackers to accumulate incidental and planned physical activity. Significant health and well-being benefits can be achieved by moving more every day. Ultimately, we want people to become aware of their current activity levels and make lifestyle choices to increase the number of steps they take each day. 10,000 Steps provides a supportive program with a free, interactive website and evidence-based resources for individuals, workplaces and communities.
