It's no secret that we are in a mental health crisis, especially within education. Our youth are struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, and suicidal thoughts more than any generation before them. About 1,500,000 under-18s will need new or extra help with their mental health as a direct result of Covid. We don't want CHANGE, we need it. Talking saved our lives. At first, we both learned how to TALK about our emotions, feelings, and the things we were struggling with. We learned how to navigate ourselves out of years of depression and mental health struggles. Then, we learned how to SPEAK publicly. I mean, really, really speak.... And finally, we learned how to inspire others to TALK. To begin the journey we have both undertaken, only much sooner. We all know the power that lies in words. However the two of us know the magic that lies in words spoken well. That's exactly why we're going to be travelling across the UK, delivering over 100 talks, in 20 days, to over 10,000 students to not only impact those who hear the talks, but to raise money for some very special charities in the mental health space. And well, we're also filming the whole process for our 100 Talks for Change documentary.
