Mikhail Greuli
I've had a pleasure working with Simon together for almost two and a half years at Massive Entertainment and being his lead for two of those years. During that time Simon was one of the strongest members of our team. He is an unbelievable concept artist, amazing designer, and great problem solver, which is highly valued in the production. During the time that we worked together, one thing that really stood out for me is his insane attention to detail and research skills, which elevates every design that he works on to the top of the industry level, setting up a benchmark for myself on what I expect from a Senior/Expert level Visual designer. He also has great understandings of current production pipelines and can provide great guidance with his concepts to all the teams down the pipeline. Simon is always proactive, and he constantly shares and brings his knowledge to the other members in the team, proposing workflow improvements, solutions to various problems and general guidance of more junior artists. He also doesn’t shy away from tackling visual design problems that are outside of his comfort zine, providing great visual solutions to the teams that need it and working closely to Leads and Directors on solving the problems. On his leadership skills, he inspires everyone to push for the top quality and is always there to pull in confidence that something is achievable. I am very comfortable on Simon handling topics by his own and leading them from the visual design standpoint and from my personal standpoint he can be a great addition as a Lead or Associate Character art director to any project. On a personal level Simon is a pure pleasure to work with and he brings positive energy to everyone he works with. Overall, I can't recommend Simon highly enough, it has been only a pleasure working together with him and he will be a great addition to any team looking for a driver team member. I'm really looking forward to working with him again sometime in the future.
