As a research student I was able to join multiple projects, where I was responsible for the design and creation of different expression construct for recombinant protein expression in E.Coli. Purification of the expressed proteins with FPLC for protein-ligand binding assays was also my task. During this internhip my aim was to find and improve an economically affordable and nutrient rich media for bakers yeast. In this process l learned the basics of design of experiments, learned how to work with microbes in a sterile box, performed experiments in small fermentors and in shaking flasks as well. I was responible for the evaluation and presentation of the results. During this internhip my aim was to find and improve an economically affordable and nutrient rich media for bakers yeast.
